Volcano

Volcanoes that generate islands have been quite interesting since the beginning of time. The place that the new island occupies creates a sense of discomfort, since, did the island that was just generated overtake another place? If so, would we name the place as a something being completely new? Or naming it from its history of what the place use to be? And when a new island is formed, who has the right to take ownership in the middle of the ocean? Does a country really have a right to expand their borders beyond a piece of land, occupying large masses of water as well?


Volcanic islands have been a home for many people, especially in the Philippines, why they choose to live on a volcanic island really puzzles me, considering that a simple eruption can simply destroy everything they have. All the work, and effort put into villages that near volcanoes could be ruined in a split second. The spaces and places which they occupy may be destroyed in a matter of seconds.
