Technology/Cyberspace

Children are growing up way to fast and are expected to do a lot more, due to the respect of the technology. But this isn’t so bad is it? Children now are becoming more educated through technology, more then we ever were. When I was a child, I barely knew how to work a computer and now I see my 10 year old cousins on it all the time. I remember when I was a kid, the first thing I would do was run outside and play street hockey with my friends. Kids will always be kids, and I do agree that they are growing up to fast with all the technology around them. For example, the new curriculum in school’s itself puts a lot more pressure on children and requires a lot more out of them. Even though technology has evolved immensely over the years, we as kids also had Nintendo and video games, and probably played them just as much as the kids in today’s society.

After reading some of the responses, we have to realize that many jobs in our society such as physicians, doctors, cannot be replaced by robots or technology. Many jobs in our society cannot be replaced and for many people who stated that many people will be out of jobs in the future, if robots or technology do take over the work force in the future, such as the car industry. We have to remember that other jobs will become available, such as people to build the machinery and to fix it. So as jobs disappear, other jobs will become available and there will be a high demand for people with technological knowledge.

Technology has benefited us greatly in making our every day chores a lot faster and it has also given people with physical disabilities to do activities or chores they wouldn’t normally be able to do with ease. For instance, as Manaza stated, people with special needs or disabilities can shop online without straining themselves by leaving their house and they can also have jobs in which they work from home. Technology has helped us greatly and it will do so as we proceed into the future.
